Oregon Ballot Measure 106

What’s this about?

Measure 106 was a statewide ballot initiative to prohibit our state tax dollars from funding thousands of elective abortions.

150,000 signatures were gathered by more than 10,000 volunteers to help Measure 106 qualify for the ballot. Oregon Life United was the primary sponsor and coordinator of the initiative.

The “Yes on Measure 106” campaign has concluded. As of November 10th, with 1,808,605 ballots counted and reported by the Secretary of State, the results for Measure 106 were 35.56% in favor, 64.44% opposed.

While the measure was not successful, we are thankful for:

  • More than 640,000 Oregonians who said YES to life and liberty with their vote for Measure 106

  • Countless churches and pastors who encouraged their congregations to both pray and to vote

  • Hundreds of individuals and families who contributed financially, many giving sacrificially, to support the campaign

  • All who invested time and took an active role, many working tirelessly behind the scenes

  • The many pro-life organizations, leaders, and candidates who have answered the call to be a voice for the voiceless
